“Atom: The Cutting Factory”

Technology at the service of creativity: this is what animates the prestigious exhibition organised by Atom, the Vigevano-based company, at the Triennale of Milan

From 11 to 30 November 2016, Atom had a new home in the temple of Milan design: the Triennale.

«On occasion of the company’s 70th anniversary, we wanted to renew our image. A demanding operation that consists of a renewed communication strategy, not just an exhibition of design objects, but also an opportunity to tell the “great” public about us»

explains Giovanni Gaia, president of Atom.
The project aimed at giving a strong symbolic value to the professionalism and history of Atom, but also at promoting the potential of the cutting systems, which can be applied to the most diverse production sectors.
The company has completely placed its trust on the creative talents of 12 young designers, expertly led by Giulio Iacchetti and Francesca Molteni, who have interpreted, experimented, and “gone beyond” to create objects that have became the protagonists of stories that live beyond the machines.
Gaia continues:

«It was exciting welcoming them into the company, working closely with them and discovering how far they could push our technologies, to give life to real design objects. I believe this is the start of a journey that will continue throughout the world. In fact, we hope to replicate the format of this exhibition, over the course of next year, in all our subsidiaries abroad»

The exhibition will continue at Sala dell’Affresco in the castle of Vigevano, from 5th December 2016 to 29th January 2017.
