Pastel coloured furs and floral patterns: Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts brought a breath of fresh air to the last Copenhagen Fashion Week
The Saks Potts brand (founded in Copenhagen in 2013) is inspired and reinterprets the young culture and contemporary art, becoming noted for the contrast of colours, materials and textures: theirs is a cutting-edge femininity that goes beyond seasonality, ideal for a timeless wardrobe.
Right from their first collection, the two designers have proposed their interpretation of fur, reinventing a classic item and making it trendy, modern and chic, thanks to the use of bright hues and exaggerated volumes.
Last season’s ‘Febbe’ model emerged in many streetstyle editorials, often worn by well-known fashion editors and bloggers (including Leandra Medine of ‘The Man Repeller’) and among the models of the last fashion show was Caroline Clante, usually on the catwalk for Vetements.
For the SS 17 collection, Cathrine and Barbara focused on some of the strongest pieces of the brand, such as the coats and jackets, which quickly became must-have items. A captivating melting pot of styles and materials, including lilac Mongolia, bi-colour shearling, floral-patterned mink, with a fresh and relaxed shape.
